1st & 2nd gr garter st

I saw some do the mini-miss without leg details, instead creating a round skirt and base. I want to try that too, but wished to stay true to the original pattern for learning and practice sake. I do have double thin threads here in order to create a more bulky feel. The bulky yarn stash is low so I am saving that for the chilldren. Some of the children can knit with the double strands.
