Avocado dye on cotton-linen

Adorable 9 patch blocks my students stitched this month (advanced handwork club that meet at my home). On the left is avocado pit and skin dyed cotton and on the right is avocado pit and skin dyed linen. I wish that I had tried the after-bath of baking soda for a deeper pink but I ran out of it.*Please note that the deep red and blue as well as the floral cotton are not dyed by me, just the pinks/peachy squares
