Mind the Gap turned Friendship Bracelet

I did this project along with my daughter when we were back at my in-laws' home for Chinese New Year. Top left was the first we made. Initially she found Mind the Gap/ Kumihimo really interesting but very soon lost her interest as she wasn't sure what would she use with the resulting string; she enjoys playing with really long strings. Since her cousins were also back in hometown for the festive season, I began searching for other types of closure for a friendship bracelet style and found a blog post by RedTedArt.
So for the top right bracelet, I started with 2 strands x 120cm folded in half and 3 strands x 60cm, made a knot with all strands and a loop with the 2 long ones. After reaching desired length, I split the strands into 2 braids as the closure.
As for the bottom rainbow colored bracelet, I cut 7 strands x 60cm then made a knot. Depending on the size of the buttonhole (I used mushroom shaped buttons), put 1-3 strands through the buttonhole. Then proceed as usual until desired length. Then I split the strands to make 2 short braids enough for the button then made a knot with the 2 braids.
*50cm per short strand and 100cm per long strand are also sufficient for use to make bracelets.
