Zan grew up on the wild shores of Northeastern Maine and still gathers strength and inspiration from forest and water, stone and bramble, in her chosen home in the gorgeous, green Pacific Northwest. An artist of many stripes, inspired by natural forms, particularly trees and animals. She creates intricate sculptures in felt, clay, sand and snow. Painting and illustration are also some of her favorite means of expressing herself. Zan is an art teacher at the Seattle Waldorf School and is in Waldorf Educators Handwork Teacher Training as well. Her art fuels her teaching and she loves to create fabulously detailed coloring pages for the students in her classes and aftercare. Her beautiful creations may be seen online on her Zan Edson Facebook, IG and Patreon pages.
